A Digital Payments Awareness session was conducted by Pune Municipal Corporation jointly with National Payments Corporation of India(NPCI) for Pune citizens at Dadoji Konde School No.8, Kotwal Bhavan, Kasba Peth on 31st May 2019. The objective of this drive was to help citizens understand the importance and usage of cashless payment instruments across all age groups thereby promoting digital adoption. Participants from different areas gathered for the training session. Nearly, 50 citizens participated of which 20 were ladies (majorly housewives) and rest were students (majorly adolescents).
The objective of this drive was to help citizens understand the usage of cashless payment instruments across all age groups and promote digital adoption. The programme focused on the bouquet of cashless payment options like Cards, UPI, BHIM, QR etc thereby stating their usage for paying different services. We are sharing few glimpses of the campaign. PMC is planning to conduct more such programs very soon.
